Applying mineral eyeshadows - Apply your mineral eyeshadow with a damp brush for maximum colour intensity and longevity. This will really bring out the luminosity in the shimmery shades and allows you to use the shadows as eyeliners too. These soft, natural loose powders may also be used dry for a sheer wash of color or for more subtle daytime wear.

Applied dry they are lighter in colour so you can choose how you apply them depending on what look you prefer.

Customer Rating Opal is my first Elemental Beauty eyeshadow and I will be sure to purchase more of this range. Opal is a beautiful light green with gold iridescence , I was suprised to see it to be so green in comparison to the swatch given which is more greyish green - however this is going to happen as everyone's monitors are different etc. So I would advise new customers to read the shade information, as the colour descriptions given are true to form. Being rather fair with green eyes, I was concerned that the colour would not suit me as it looks quite light in the pot. Though it is not at all frosty and truly is a lovely colour, very soft and very easy to blend.
I have used it in the day as a wash of colour over the lid, and albeit there is a bit of shimmer, it is incredibly fine and subtle so perfect for day. In the evening Opal really shines when used wet as a highlight and inner duct colour for a green smokey eye. I wore Opal yesterday with Mac's grey Knight Divine eye shadow which creased soon into wearing whereas Opal's colour stayed true all day. I won't be so quick to buy new colours from MAC as elemental beauty eyeshadows are very pigmented and outlast MAC's in staying ability. (Posted on 21/08/2009)
